St. Peter’s College hosts career fair

Br. Kurt and some St. Peter’s College students check out the St. Peter’s College
Opportunities Edge event on Oct. 7. More than 500 high school students from the
area attended the career fair where more than 40 organizations were represented.
Br. Kurt teaches psychology at St. Peter’s College.

Sisters’ Legacy Event Regina Oct. 1

Abbot Peter and Br. Basil attended the Sisters Legacy event in Regina on Oct. 1. A statue of a nursing sister and a teaching sister was unveiled in Wascana Park to commemorate the 5500 sisters who have served in those professions for the last 155 years in this province. The sisters were among the founding nursing and teaching professionals in this province.

Abbot Peter visits Halifax museum

Abbot Peter took part in the Canadian Religious Conference council meetings in Halifax Sept 20-22. During his trip he visited the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 at the Halifax Harbour. He looked at the display featuring St. Peter’s monks who helped establish St. Peter’s Colony in Saskatchewan in the early 1900s
