Old crocodile

Abbot Peter visited Big Bert in the Humboldt Museum July 30. Big Bert is a crocodile that was found in the rocks on the Carrot River in east- central Saskatchewan. He is about 92 million years old. Big Bert was 19 feet long and weighed over 500 pounds. This display is in the Humboldt Museum during a province-wide tour.

It is the best preserved and most complete sample of this species of crocodile ever found

New permanent resident

Ana Nguyen shows Fr. Rudolph Novecosky her permanent residency card for Canada which she received on July 22. She has worked with Fr. Rudolph in the abbey business office since she arrived from Vietnam last October

Priest Sports Day

Abbot Peter takes part in one of the sports activities, “bone throwing”, at the annual Priest Sports Day, July 18 and 19 at St. Peter’s Abbey. The event was sponsored by the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus and was attended by 54 priests and 11 Knights of Columbus members.
