Br. Anthony celebrated his 25th anniversary of monastic profession at Holy
Family Cathedral in Saskatoon, Aug. 28. The celebration tool place during
the monthly Mass for the Vietnamese community in Saskatoon. A number of
Vietnamese priests from Saskatoon and Prince Albert came to celebrate with
him. Lunch and fellowship followed the afternoon Mass.

Br. Anthony Ngyuen 25th Anniversary of Monastic Profession
Abbot Peter Novecosky, OSB and Br. Anthony Nguyen, OSB hold the cake commemorating the 25th anniversary of Br. Anthony to his monastic profession. A special celebration was held, August 21, at St. Peter’s Abbey in recognition of the anniversary. Family and friends of Br. Anthony attended a Mass and festive gathering and meal afterwards.

Anna Hergert of Buffalo Pound donated a textile wall hanging of the Transfiguration that she made to St. Peter’s Abbey. Anna explained her work to Abbot Peter Novecosky, OSB, left, and Fr. Demetrius Wasylyniuk, OSB. The Transfiguration is based on Mark 9:2-13 and hangs outside the chapel of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Anna is the instructor and of Fabric Design Worskhop which was held at St. Peter’s Abbey.
