Br. Wolfgang Thiem checks out the tomato plants he started a couple months
ago in the abbey. Our oldest monk, at 90, has enjoyed growing tomatoes as a
hobby for many years.

Abbot Peter Novecosky attended a workshop at St. Bernard Abbey, Cullman,
Alabama, Feb. 6 - 9. He joined 30 Benedictine abbots and 60 Benedictine
prioresses for a joint workshop on "Monastic Leadership in a Complicated,
Rapidly Changing Time." The joint workshop is held every four years.

While Br. Pierre takes down Christmas decorations in the abbey recreation room Jan. 12.

At the end of the Christmas season, Mother Nature decorates the outdoors with beautiful hoar frost.
