Frances Swyripa continues to update the abbey archives. She came here March
1 and is staying several months, as she has for the past 4 years. Frances
is a retired history professor from the University of Alberta

Each Sunday during Lent a different symbol was carried to the altar as part of the Share Lent program. The symbols included soil, work gloves, a house, and a dove symbolizing peace. The symbols reminded the monks of what gives dignity to people in our world. Br. Benedict and Br. Basil look at the display on Solidarity Sunday, March 13.

The spiritual and corporal works of mercy are displayed on the wall of the abbey church as a reminder of these important Christian virtues which Pope Francis has encouraged everyone to practice especially during Lent.
