A thunderstorm Aug. 13 dumped over three inches of rain around the abbey. One of the casualties was an elm tree close to the water-soaked garden.

Saskatoon berries were plentiful at a neighbour’s patch and monks received an invitation to pick some. We look forward to pies in the future!
