Fr. Lawrence DeMong and Abbot Peter admire a model of the Smith barn in Leader Oct.
17. It was built in 1914 by Mr. Smith and it was the biggest barn in North America.
It measured 128 x 400 feet and was 60 feet high. It took 32 carloads of lumber to
build and a carload and a half of nails. The barn was dismantled in 1921.


St. Peter’s College hosts career fair

Br. Kurt and some St. Peter’s College students check out the St. Peter’s College
Opportunities Edge event on Oct. 7. More than 500 high school students from the
area attended the career fair where more than 40 organizations were represented.
Br. Kurt teaches psychology at St. Peter’s College.
