The monks at St. Peter’s Abbey observe the Advent season prior to Christmas. With purple banners in the church and an Advent wreath in the dining room, we await the coming of the Lord at Christmas, contrary to many secular celebrations at this time.

Anna Nguyen arrived at the Abbey with her family from Vietnam on December 2nd. They joined the community for supper that evening.
