The monks, Oblates and friends of St. Peter’s Abbey celebrated the Feast of St. Benedict on March 21.
They gathered for Mass and then a festive dinner.

Robert Janiga and Edmundo Cruz were invested as novices, March 20, at St. Peter’s Abbey.

Robert has taken the monastic name Br. Denys and Edmundo has the monastic name Br. Luis.

A cactus plant replaces flowers in the Abbey church during Lent. The cactus reminds us of the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert. A simple cross also replaces the more ornate one used during the rest of the year.
