This year Ash Wednesday fell on Valentine’s Day Feb. 14. Coincidentally, the last
time this happened was in 1945, the year Abbot Peter was born. Fr. Lawrence gives
the ashes to Francis, a resident at the Abbey.

Donna Remenda, kitchen manager, and Fr. Demetrius Wasylyniuk, hold a birthday cake, resembling a bee hive with bees.

Donna made the cake for Fr. Demetrius on his 60th birthday, Feb. 13, 2018.

Fr. Demetrius is the beekeeper for the abbey.

snowfall in February 2018.
