Abbot Peter preached parish Lenten retreats at Shellbrook and Leask the weekend of March 10-12.

The Abbey experienced its first winter blizzard on Tuesday, March 7. Several staff members were not able to come to work. It was followed the next day By a typical sunny winter day in Saskatchewan.

A cactus around the Abbey altar replaced the plants on Ash Wednesday in order to remind the monks of the season of Lent, when Jesus spent 40 days in the desert.

Abbot Peter attended the Abbots workshop at Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside California, Feb. 17-20. There were 35 Abbots from North America present.
