Brother Anthony and Abbot Peter join Fr. Augustine, Vietnamese pastor at Saint Peter’s Parish in Saskatoon, for the annual New Year’s festivities Jan. 22. The Vietnamese celebrate the Year of the Cat.

Fr. Daniel celebrated his 88th birthday on Jan. 14. The oldest monk at St. Peter’s Abbey, Fr. Daniel cuts his birthday cake during supper.

Anna Nguyen and her husband, Paul, and family invited the monks and friends to their home at St. Peter’s Abbey for a Vietnamese meal on Dec  27. It was the first time her family had been together in more than three years.

St. Peter’s monks enjoyed a Vietnamese hymn prior to the evening mass at the Abbey.
