Robert Janiga, from the Toronto area, was invested as a novice with St. Peter’s Abbey on July 11. He was given the name Br. Denys and will make a year long novitiate. July 11 is the feast day of Saint Benedict, the patriarch of Western Europe.

Abbey guest Joseph served the Canada Day supper to the Abbey Monks and guests on July 1.
An inch of rain
God blessed us on Trinity Sunday with an inch of rain, a nice gentle rain. Farmers’ will be happy with this. The accumulation so far this spring is about 2 inches.
Strong wind falls trees
The weekend of May 31 saw strong winds across Saskatchewan. This is one of the trees the wind toppled near the arena at the Abbey.
