It is early May and our Saskatoon bushes appear to be showing signs of buds that are greening.  We look forward to harvesting in late June or early July.  Last fall we did some major pruning of the bushes.

On April 27, Abbot Peter’s niece, Theresa, made a surprise visit to the abbey with a delicious homemade birthday cake.  We had a good time celebrating.

The monks and oblates of St. Peter’s Abbey extend a warm congratulations to Archbishop Donald Bolen who has won the Higgins Award. Don has been an oblate of our community for many years and we always look forward to his visits.
